How to measure Measure around the chest and back, under the armpits, at the strongest point.
Take the measurement at the waist, not tightening the tape.
Measure around the hip, about 3" below the natural waist.
Take the measurement at the strongest point of the hips, with the tape parallel to the ground.
The elbow should be slightly bent; take the measurement from the center of the neck, down the shoulder and arm to the wrist bone.
Measure from the crotch to the ankle bone. Or, measure a well-fitting basic garment along the seam from the crotch to the bottom.

The Smartwool Merino 150 Women's Long Sleeve Basic Sweater combines comfort, durability and fit. This lightweight merino wool jersey can be worn year round. It is constructed with a nylon core for durability, with a 100% merino wool lining against the skin for warmth and comfort. It comes in a variety of colors, some of which are obtained from a plant-based dye for environmental concerns.

Features:

Close fit.

Garment weight: 133 g (4.69 oz).

Raglan sleeve design eliminates the need for shoulder seams.

Side seams are offset to the front for optimal fit.

Stretch merrow stitch finish for comfort, range of motion and fit.

Fabric: 87% merino wool, 13% nylon (excluding decorative elements).

Care instructions: Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle. Wash with similar colors. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry on low heat. Iron on low heat if necessary. Do not iron the decoration. Do not dry clean.

Great T-shirt or base layer

After trying a few brands of merino wool, Smartwool is my favourite. I find their sizes, in general but not always, to be sized a bit on the small side as I take a small in regular clothing but a medium in most Smartwool products. I like their shirts, like this one, that have raglan sleeves as they look better-fitting. I bought this shirt in both the Tea Rose and the Indigo Blue colours. I'm not if it's the dying process or what, but they look and feel different than all my other Smartwool and other merino shirts, even others with the same fabric content (87% merino wool and 13% nylon); these ones feel more like cotton, but they have all the great properties of merino.
